Scott’s background combines over fifteen years of architecture and town planning project experience. He is versed in traditional urban design principles and
addresses both architectural and urban design projects from a contextual, community point-of view. Among his many skills, Scott’s strength lies in his
ability to analyze and develop solutions for complex and large-scale design problems. Scott has advanced the technical aspects of this expertise by
developing innovative computer mapping, computer graphic and computer rendering techniques.
Mr. Miller’s work serves a vital role in master planning projects that require complex issues be illustrated in a straightforward and understandable format.
Scott is also a Principal and co-founder of Miller Purdy Architects, Ltd. (MPA), a multi-disciplined architectural
and town planning firm specializing in all facets of planning, residential and commercial architecture. MPA
participates in a strategic alliance with ALR and its affiliates. Dedicated to the betterment of the community in
which people live and work, MPA strives to design and develop the most efficient and sustainable projects possible.
Scott’s experience covers Traditional Town Planning, Urban Design, Redevelopment, Revitalization, Infill,
Transit-Oriented Design, Sports Complex, Entertainment, Health Care, High Rise, Single Family, Townhouse,
Condominium, Adaptive Re-Use, Historic Renovation and Mixed-Usedevelopment. Scott has a Bachelor of
Architecture from Drexel University and is a member of the Congress for New Urbanism, the Urban Land Institute and the American Planning Association.
During his career, Mr. Miller has worked on numerous projects covering many architectural and planning
disciplines, such as, Singapore Turf Club, designs for Philadelphia Phillies Ball Parks, Spa Creek Condominiums
in Annapolis, MD , Whitehall Community Master Plan, Gateway at Dunellen and Philly Coke Master Plan, Philadelphia, PA.
