Managing Director
The Managing Director will be responsible for establishing and managing partnerships that help ALR, focused on building and maintaining
strategic partnerships. Effectively lead and manage east coast, southeast, midwest, southwest or west coast firm’s acquisitions and originating team.
Responsibilities:
- Lead in all aspects of deal development prospecting, sourcing, originating, negotiating and closing.
- Evaluate new customers, businesses, technologies and corporate alliances. Ensure execution of creative deals with business partners in the respective
area.
- Contribute to product and strategy development efforts
- Establish budgets and targets for assigned area of responsibility and manage to them.
- Ensure effective visibility in the business, real estate, brokerage, environmental, energy/utilities, waste disposal and related industries, as well as the
corporations that use these industries services. Focus on business opportunities with prospective customers.
- Leverage existing structure to maximize business opportunities with current customers.
- Manage geographical team of professionals and experts.
- Help train and give guidance to employees
Requirements:
Technical Skills:
- Seasoned business development skill set prospecting, negotiating, etc.
- Established management skills.
- Strong understanding of the firm’s business and associated business models.
- Strong understanding of due diligence, financial modeling, deal structure, cost management, auditing, legal services, accounting.
- Understanding of research methods.
Professional Skills:
- Sophisticated deal maker with entrepreneurial spirit.
- Strong negotiation, analytical problem-solving, and deal structuring skills
- Strong teamwork focus and work ethic and ability to adapt to change
- Must be proactive in seizing the initiative, making deals and creating partnerships that extend our service and product reach

Additional Requirements:
- 6 + years experience in business development at a leading firm involved in one or more of the following fields: real estate related issues, TIFF, public and private
capital formation, partnership deal structure, low income housing tax credits, REITs, environmental, risk management, energy/utilities, waste disposal, land use and zoning, tax.
- High end public REIT experience or private equity deal structure helpful
- Entrepreneurial experience helpful
- Undergraduate degree
- MBA/JD/advanced accounting degree preferred
